What does a Corpse Flower Look Like in Thermal?

With an average of 7-10 years between bloom cycles and only 157 recorded blooms since 1889, it’s rare for most to catch a glimpse of a corpse flower mid-bloom. However, 2016 has seen at least 7 blooms in the United States, most recently at the U.S. Botanical Garden in Washington D.C.! 

We thought it’d be a good opportunity to dig into our archives for this thermal timelapse of Chanel, the UCSB Corpse Flower blooming back in 2013. Enjoy!
